LIMITED LIFE-TIME WARRANTY

LITHIUM-ION LIMITED WARRANTY

CONDITIONS

Ebatte Holdings Ltd, (“Ebatte”) warrants, to the original purchaser, (“User”) that its Lithium-Ion (“Battery(ies)”), if purchased from Ebatte official or an authorized distributor or dealer. Commencing from the date of shipment, herein referred to as the "Warranty Period," the batteries are warranted to be free from defects in materials, workmanship, and title, and are to adhere to the specifications outlined by ebatte for the physical attributes, operational parameters, and performance of the batteries. It is stipulated that a battery shall not be deemed defective unless it fails to meet a minimum of sixty percent (60%) of its advertised capacity when subjected to testing in accordance with the established procedures of ebatte during the warranty period. Throughout the duration of the Warranty Period, ebatte retains the discretion to either repair or replace any defective battery, contingent upon the terms, conditions, and exclusions delineated within this agreement.
The batteries must be charged, discharged, stored, maintained, and serviced strictly in accordance with all instructions provided by Ebatte, including, but not limited to, the Ebatte Lithium-Ion Batteries User's Guide.
This warranty will be invalidated for any battery that has undergone unauthorized repairs or alterations, or that Ebatte determines has been subjected to abuse, neglect, damage, rendered unserviceable due to any force majeure event, or is otherwise not maintained in compliance with Ebatte's instructions.

WARRANTY REGISTRATION

It is advised that you safeguard your investment by registering your warranty. In the event that you opt not to register your warranty, it is imperative that you retain your proof of purchase documentation for potential future warranty claims related to your battery.

NON-TRANSFERABLE

This warranty excludes coverage for defects arising from typical wear and tear, inadequate maintenance, insufficient ventilation, transportation or storage mishandling, improper repairs, misuse, neglect, accidents, or unauthorized alterations to the Battery. Additionally, defects resulting from the User's exposure to external factors, including but not limited to unusual physical or electrical stress such as power surges, uncontrolled voltages and currents, system harmonics, lightning, flood, fire, extreme temperatures, or accidents, are not covered. Furthermore, any damage resulting from improper connection, incorporation, charging (undercharging, overcharging, over-discharging), or installation is also not covered under this warranty.
For further elucidation, this warranty is rendered null and void under the following circumstances:
  • 1.Operates (charges or discharges) outside its designated temperature range, as determined and recorded by the Battery's Battery Management System (BMS).
  • 2. Maintains an average temperature exceeding 80°F (27°C) throughout its operational lifespan, as determined and recorded by the Battery BMS.
  • 3. fails to adhere to the maintenance parameters outlined in the User’s Guide, as specified in the English language version.
  • 4. Battery is charged using a battery charger, charging algorithm, or unregulated charging source that does not conform to Ebatte’s recommendations detailed in the English language version of the User’s Guide.
  • 5. Battery is exposed to excessive vibration.
  • 6. The Battery Management System (BMS) is tampered with or altered, including manipulation of CAN bus communication ports.
  • 7. Manufacturing date codes, safety certification numbers, or serial and tracking numbers are tampered with or altered.
  • 8. Battery is disassembled, modified, or repaired by an unauthorized Ebatte representative.
  • 9. Battery is installed without the appropriate balance of system components.
  • 10. Battery is directly connected to DC motors without the requisite safety precautions, motor controllers, and external motor voltage clamping systems, as prescribed below.
  • 11. Battery is not adequately shielded from inrush currents, as recommended below.
  • 12. Battery is installed in conjunction with other brands and/or models.
  • 13. Experiences improper connection or utilization of the CAN bus interface on the Battery, as stipulated in the User Guide.
  • EXCLUSION FOR FAILURE TO PROVIDE DATA ACCESS

To facilitate the enforcement of this Limited Warranty, Ebatte reserves the right to request users to update and upgrade the Firmware and Software of the Battery. Failure to comply with such requests, including the installation of provided system updates or upgrades, or the failure to furnish requested logged data, will result in the nullification of this Limited Warranty.
Ebatte assumes no liability for costs associated with transportation, installation, freight, recharging, electrical system testing, downtime, equipment disuse, service visits, labor, rental equipment, or any other expenses deemed incidental or consequential. The sole remedy provided under this warranty is limited to Battery replacement, repair, or, at Ebatte's discretion, credit toward the acquisition of a new Battery.

HOW TO MAKE A WARRANTY CLAIM

To initiate a claim under this Limited Warranty, kindly communicate with Ebatte official, your authorized Ebatte distributor or dealer. Presentation of proof of purchase will be mandatory. Should the Battery necessitate return for assessment, kindly dispatch the Battery, at your expense and in adherence to pertinent federal and state department of transportation regulations, encompassing, yet not restricted to, the UNDOT 3480 shipping requirements for Class 9 Hazardous Goods, to your authorized Ebatte distributor or dealer. It should be noted that the acceptance of the Battery for assessment does not automatically imply Ebatte's acknowledgment of the warranty claim.
Upon receipt of a satisfactory proof of claim (as determined at Ebatte's discretion), Ebatte will, at its discretion, elect to repair, replace, or reimburse the purchase price of any faulty battery. This repair, replacement, or reimbursement shall constitute the User's exclusive and sole recourse under this warranty. Under no circumstances shall Ebatte's liability under this warranty exceed the purchase price of the specific batteries for which damages are claimed.
Any batteries repaired or replaced under this warranty shall carry warranty coverage for the remaining, unused duration of the original warranty period. All batteries returned shall remain the property of Ebatte Battery Company. It is emphasized that the acceptance of returned batteries for assessment does not imply Ebatte's acknowledgment of the warranty claim.

    WARNINGS

ENSURE ADEQUATE PROTECTION FOR THE BATTERY WITHIN THE OVERARCHING INSTALLATION. Appropriate measures such as proper grounding, isolation, fusing, breakers, and disconnects are imperative across the entirety of systems to effectively isolate and safeguard all components against faults, short circuits, reverse polarity, or component failure. The determination of component sizes should adhere to established electrical codes and standards, and be assessed by certified engineers, electricians, and licensed installers. While each battery incorporates system protection and fuses to shield it from operating beyond preset limits, supplementary balance of system protections, such as charge controllers, must always be integrated to shield the battery from high voltage sources like open PV voltage. It is crucial to note that the internal circuitry, protection, and fusing are insufficient to safeguard the battery from extreme electrical occurrences.

    VOLTAGE SURGES IN DC MOTORS

During operation, DC motors act as an inductive load. If the Battery Management System (BMS) disconnects from a DC motor during operation, a voltage transient will occur unless the system includes adequate protection. Connecting directly to DC motors without suitable protection, motor controllers, or external motor voltage clamping systems (e.g., high-power anti-parallel diodes or braking resistor systems) may lead to harm to the internal Battery protection system, creating potentially hazardous situations, and will result in the warranty being voided.

    INRUSH CURRENT IN DC MOTORS

Upon energizing typical DC motors, a significantly higher amount of current than usual flows into the motor until it reaches a steady-state speed. Initial inrush currents can notably surpass the steady-state levels. Inrush current limiters must be employed when linking the Battery to DC motors to safeguard the Battery's BMS and electronics. Failure to do so will result in the warranty being voided.
